Given that we spend one third of our lives at work, the working environment can have a significant impact on our health and wellbeing. A healthy working environment is one in which there is not only an absence of harmful conditions that can cause injury and illness, but an abundance of health promoting ones (WHO, 2010).


We spend most of our time at work, so it should come as no surprise to find that what goes on in the workplace can play a key role in contributing to your health. Healthy does not only constitute as needing medical attention, it could also be the outlook of the workplace and even the surroundings. It improves productivity, sharpens your competitive edge and focus.

3. Healthy eating

6. Put on some music


Listening to music triggers the release of dopamine, a feel-good chemical, putting us in a better mood. Music can also be a great motivator and concentration aid.
