Updated: Sep 21, 2020

Drugs are used to treat illness and diseases, saving lives and reducing pain but that does not negate their harm in the short and long run.

Try our alternative non-invasive and non-medicinal products today. These items are carefully chosen and tested to ensure they provide results over time.

Drug Usage

Doctor's prescription and over-the-counter medications can be incredibly helpful in treating your illness and discomfort. Often as part of quick relief, I often carry along a small portable pouch of medication for common symptoms such as flu and headache when I travel.

While the beneficial effects of drugs are demonstrated in clinical trials, their side effects are often played down and not mentioned. These side effects varied from person to person based on the interaction with the drug molecules.

The effective part of most drug molecules is small, and may not be specific for the targeted receptor. For example, the Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) are widely found to painkillers as they relieve pain, reduce inflammation and bring down high temperature. However, this is not for everyone. Like all medicines, there are side effect risks. What we were not told is that it interferes with the stomach’s ability to resist the damaging effects of gastric acid and may cause stomach aches and stomach ulcers. And in some rare cases, it may lead up to heart failure, heat attack and strokes.

The molecular configuration of antimicrobial agents may damage human tissue prompting an immune response which we call a drug allergy. This usually manifests as skin rash, swollen eyes or even kidney damage.

Drug allergies are common. Knowledge can be the key to making your own best decisions. The first rule is to resist consuming a drug unless it is necessary. Particular care is necessary when choosing pain and sedating medication. As with any drug, a cautious consumer will study the label and do not exceed the prescription.
